I know I had a plan for a uketorial for this session but I just want to get back to jamming. So, no theme for this one. We’ll just play whatever we feel like playing. The uketorials are back! Yes, this Sunday, our awesome Pam Woodsworth will be taking us through a fingerpicking style known as Travis picking. The handout is available for download on our website saskatoonukulele.com.  

Following this jam, we will take a little break for the rest of April. Hopefully, when we reconvene in May, the weather will be warm enough to start meeting outside again.

March is International Women’s Month and the 20^th is the Spring Equinox so any songs about spring, the Earth, or written by women would fit in perfectly for this jam. February is Black history month so let’s celebrate the amazing African American musicians whose music is so much a part of our culture and lives. As musicians ourselves, we owe them so much so this jam is for them! Please sending me your PDF’s by Friday night and I’ll get the package posted on our website Saturday morning.

It’s that time of year! Yes, Wednesday, February 2 is Play Your Ukulele Day and once again, the Saskatoon Ukulele Players will be holding a jam to celebrate! Because this jam comes mid-week, we’ll be holding this jam in the evening at 7 pm Saskatoon time. I’ll do my best to get the time conversion correct in the Zoom details below.
